How myjataka calculates a Vedic chart

myjataka is a Vedic astrology chart and timing tool built on the KN Rao interpretive foundation. It uses a sidereal calculation model, not a generic tropical horoscope template.
The product principle is Verify Before You Believe: users can compare past-event timing with their own experience before choosing to read deeper future-facing material.
What happens before a report is written
1. Astronomical positions
The engine uses the birth date, local time, place, timezone, and Swiss Ephemeris data to calculate planetary positions. This is the computational layer of the chart.
2. Sidereal signs and houses
myjataka applies Lahiri ayanamsa for the sidereal zodiac and Whole Sign houses. The Lagna sets the first house, and each following sign becomes the next house.
3. Chart factors
The reading can consider D1 placements, house lordship, dignity, aspects, Shadbala, Nakshatra, Chara Karakas, and divisional-chart context such as D9. No single factor is treated as a complete prediction.
4. Life timing
Vimshottari Dasha provides the main life-period sequence. Mahadasha and Antardasha periods are read with the chart factors they activate, then compared with past events in the verification flow.
5. AI-assisted explanation
AI converts the structured chart and timing output into readable sections. It does not calculate the ephemeris, invent a birth time, or turn an isolated planet into a standalone verdict.
What the method does not claim
- Atmakaraka, Dasha, or Nakshatra is not an independent prediction engine.
- A birth chart cannot remove uncertainty or replace a qualified professional.
- AI wording is an explanation layer, not proof that an interpretation is true.
- Results are for education and entertainment reference only.
Use only the data needed for the flow
Birth date, time, place, and timezone are used to calculate the requested chart. Generated chart and report records are used to keep the flow working and to restore a paid report. The exact retention and deletion rules are described in the privacy policy.

Why does myjataka ask me to verify past events?+
Verification is a product safeguard. A dasha interpretation should be compared with lived timing before a user treats a future-facing reading as useful context.
What does AI do in a myjataka report?+
The calculation engine produces chart positions, house placements, strengths, and dasha periods. AI turns those structured results into readable explanations; it does not replace the astronomical calculation.
